Cheap spray ring
Cheap spray ring?
Spray rings as they are called are a pipe in a
circular shape with small nozzles attached to it. Each nozzle is pointing
inwards at a specific angle, the angle depends on the diameter of the
ring.
How ever a commercial spray ring is very expensive so I
have come up with this one, in total it will not be really really
cheap, but its very much less than a commercial ring (about 1 tenth of the
price)
The hardest part with a spray ring is the making the ring itself,
so why not have a spray octagon?

Spray "ring" at night |
The whole thing is made from 40 mm plastic push fit
"waste pipe" to get more of a round shape instead of using 4 x 90 degree
corners I used 8 x 45 degree angles, each angle piece is separated
by a short length of strait pipe.

"ring" using 45 degree bends |
In each piece of strait pipe i fitted a komet
nozzle A suitably size hole is drilled into the pipe and the komet nozzle
screwed in, to give the ring support, i fitted 4 x T pieces, each T piece
downward pipe is then fitted with a T piece for stability, which is capped off.
Another hole is drilled on the side of one of the legs and this was then
connected to a pump, switch on, get soaked adjusting the angle of the
nozzles.

The parts
Plastic push fit pipe, 45 degree bends, T's, ends all available from any
good diy superstore (eg, base home, Q & B) the komet nozzles are
available here
The total price depends on size of ring and number of nozzles, this one has
12 of the smaller nozzles (3-5 T)
Please also note the height of your jets will depend on the size of
pump that you use, diameter of pipe (you can use 32 mm) size and quantity
of nozzles.
