This is a commercial pond filtration set up

It still has the same features your home set up has, only bigger and a bit more.

A) is a series of ultraviolet light clarifiers

B) is a sand filter

(this gives the water a "final polish"

C) is the sand filter valve

The white thing at the back is a gas fired boiler to heat the water

This set up has nothing to do with me, it is one i happened to see.
