Cut pump cable

Its come to my attention people are selling pumps with cables that are too short. Yes the pump is cheap but how are you going to replace the cable?

Have you noticed what is wrong? Since when can you change a sealed pump, pump cable? You can't is the answer, as they are sealed in by resin when they are made.

Here is another one: (08 10)

.............late husband cemented the cable into the pond stone surround I couldn't remove the full length and had to cut it short. So it doesn't have any real length of cable. I put plugs on what was left to test the pumps after I had cleaned them out.

Ideally they would require re-wiring, which would not be beyond the skill of some enthusiast.

When will people understand you can not rewire  a pond pump / change its cable, as the cable is sealed in. Don't believe me have a look at your pond pump, how are you going to open it, where are its screws? there are none, most pond pumps are sealed with "resin" at manufacture to keep them water tight.
