Fountain sump

Fountain sump, how do you build one?  the materials are up to you, but as our drawing shows it is not really that hard

It can be as big or as small as required. If you are building it below ground you could dig out a small narrow trench, fill this with concrete, allow at least 7 days for it to set, then remove what is inside the newly built "collar"  Or if it is above ground you could use suitably sizes treated timber. You should then install a liner and install and fix your "ornaments" make sure your ornament are securely fixed!

Next you "plumb" in your ornaments (your ornaments will need to have their plumbing "balanced")

The grille should be supported at regular intervals in case someone walks on it (they will) The grille should also be substantial enough to take a persons weight if your feature is that big You can then add what ever decorative material on top of the grille, fill with water and switch on and enjoy.

Why not send us a picture / drawings of what you have built?
