Multi slate feature
You may have seen them around, a stacked collection of
slate or similar material, with water running
down the slate, how is it done? You will need to make or buy a sump.
Assuming you make a sump (More info on sumps is
here) the slate or other layered material will sit
on a grille. Since this feature is slate, and slate is heavy you must make
sure the grill can support the weight. You can of course use lightweight
mesh, BUT you must put supports under where the slate is going to
go in order to take the weight, the supports should also be stable and
NEVER made from timber, as it will work initially then over time rot and
collapse.
Which pump? You need a pump that will pump water to just
over the height of the outlet. You can see more information on the page
here
Ideally the pump will be offset and connected via a hose
with the slate supported. This means you then have easy access to the
pump. But this limited by the sump size.
