Water wheel
Water wheel, a wheel that is turned by water which in
turn operates some heavy machinery. or does it? Have a look at this water
wheel.

Fairly average "run of the mill" water wheel? |

Looking down at the bottom of the water wheel |

Hang on, that is a float switch, why do you need one
of those for a water wheel? And come to think of it, why that big
pipe.? |

Oh look, its that pipe again |

Wait that trough does not go into the wall, its
bolted onto the outside of the wall. |
The answer is, its a fake water wheel, in that yes the
wheel and water are real, but the water is pumped up from the sump to the
top of the wheel. The wheel itself just turns, it does not operate any
machinery at all.
But to be fair, unless you know or look
carefully you would think its really working, which is why I am not saying
where it is. (2009)
